Gate says August 2026 growth was driven by multi-asset trading, TradFi push and reserves expansion
Gate has released its August 2026 transparency report, outlining growth across spot and derivatives trading, TradFi products, wealth management, on-chain services and institutional business. The company cited third-party data from DefiLlama, CryptoQuant and CryptoRank to show where it ranked on trading volume, open interest, net inflows, stock perpetuals and RWA perpetual contracts during the month. The report also detailed an expansion in stock trading coverage, entry into the Japanese market, stronger activity in options and event contracts, and higher usage across savings and on-chain yield products. On the balance sheet side, Gate said its total reserves rose to $8.215 billion as of Aug. 19, 2026, with an overall reserve ratio of 127%. The company also highlighted product upgrades for professional and institutional users, brand activity tied to Coinfest Asia 2026, and comments from founder and CEO Dr. Han in an interview with The Economist. Gate said it plans to keep building out products spanning trading, investing, asset management and intelligent services.
